Зв’язок вчень Декарта й Спінози із середньовічною філософією виявляє себе, зокрема, у царині етики, точніше – у співвідношенні метафізики й етики. Хоча первинний намір Спінози – розробити метод, його термінологія, використовувана для характеристики методу – лікування, очищення – однозначно вказує на зв’язок з медициною та етикою. Етична орієнтація логіки чітко виражена в логічних трактатах, що належать до картезіанської традиції.Посилання
