In article the comparative analysis of gnoseological concepts of two English thinkers who are at the beginnings of empiricism is carried out. A comparison subject are, first of all, “Obstacles for true comprehension” (offendicula) at Roger Bacon and “Errors of human mind” (idola) at Francis Bacon. The continuity of ideas of two thinkers is proved that, however, does not belittle F.Bacon role as creator of new methodology of a science.References
